The accessibility rules themselves are not new: staff training and accessible customer service have been required since 2015, and businesses with 50+ employees have been required to meet WCAG 2.0 AA on their public websites since January 1, 2021. The December report simply asks you to certify — yes or no — whether you follow them.

What if we’re genuinely not compliant and can’t fix everything in time?
Then we document a remediation plan and prepare honest answers with appropriate comments — which is far better than a false certification. Most gaps we see are fixable in weeks, not months.
